About the Role
We are looking for a Deputy Manager - Planning & Purchase to manage procurement planning, vendor commercials, pricing, and service sourcing across HealthONTime's healthcare network.
The role will work closely with diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare service providers to ensure competitive pricing, reliable service availability, and commercially sustainable partnerships.
What You Will Do
- Identify, evaluate, and develop healthcare vendors and service providers based on quality, pricing, coverage, capabilities, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, margins, payment terms, and service conditions with diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare partners.
- Compare partner pricing and commercial proposals to ensure competitive procurement costs and sustainable margins.
- Support procurement and commercial planning for diagnostic tests, health checkup packages, radiology services, and other healthcare services.
- Work with Business Development and Operations teams to forecast service requirements and plan partner capacity across locations.
- Maintain accurate records of partner pricing, rate cards, negotiated commercials, service availability, and contractual terms.
- Regularly review procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and margin improvement.
- Monitor vendor performance including service quality, turnaround time, availability, pricing adherence, and operational reliability.
- Analyse market pricing, competitor offerings, and industry trends to support pricing and procurement decisions.
- Coordinate with Finance for vendor billing, reconciliation, payment-related matters, and commercial discrepancies.
- Work closely with Operations, Business Development, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to ensure smooth implementation of new partners, services, and pricing.
- Prepare procurement, pricing, cost-saving, vendor performance, and management reports.
- Develop and maintain procurement processes, approval workflows, documentation, and SOPs.
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
- 5-8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, commercial planning, vendor management, sourcing, or a related role.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, hospitals, health-tech, insurance, pharmacy, or healthcare services will be strongly preferred.
- Experience negotiating pricing, commercial terms, margins, and service agreements with vendors or business partners.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare pricing, analyse costs, evaluate margins, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience preparing procurement, pricing, and management reports.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors, rate cards, service categories, and commercial negotiations simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail, particularly in pricing, commercial terms, documentation, and reconciliation.
- Ability to work effectively with Business Development, Operations, Finance, Product, and Technology teams.
- Strong ownership and problem-solving ability with a focus on cost optimisation, quality, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Attributes
- Existing experience working with diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, healthcare networks, or healthcare service providers.
- Understanding of diagnostic test and health package pricing will be an advantage.
- Experience managing vendor rate cards and conducting pricing benchmarking.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance cost, service quality, coverage, and business margins.
- Process-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement and scalability.
